Job Overview:
As a Workshop and Plant Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering practical training to apprentices in our workshop and plant facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise and contribute to the development of our apprentices.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced trainer who has industry experience as a time served electrician or electrical engineer. You will be responsible for delivering practical elements of the electrical and instrumentation apprenticeship programme, including wiring & testing, electrical maintenance, health & safety, assembling, wiring and testing panels, maintaining and testing process instrumentation and control devices, PLCs. You will also be required to develop training material for the workshop and plant based practical modules, ensuring that all sessions adhere to Ofsted guidance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver practical elements of the electrical and instrumentation apprenticeship programme
  • Develop training material for the workshop and plant based practical modules
  • Ensure all sessions adhere to Ofsted guidance and regulations
  • Motivate and support learners where required to meet standards
  • Assist in any inspections

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Industry experience as a time served electrician or electrical engineer
  • Interest in working with young people and progressing their skills to work in industry
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities
  • IT literate with experience of using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams and Moodle
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
