About the Role

We are seeking a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. As a Trainee PWP, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals with anxiety and depression.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to provide brief structured supported treatments, including guided self-help. You will be employed in an NHS Talking Therapies psychological treatment service and will receive full-time training provided by University College London (UCL).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with individuals across the adult age range to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies
  • Provide brief structured supported treatments, including guided self-help
  • Work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality care
  • Attend university one day a week for full-time training provided by UCL
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a degree or equivalent academic ability, and experience of working with people who have experienced mental health problems. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills, and be able to communicate effectively in an emotive atmosphere.

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive training program, including full-time training provided by UCL, and the opportunity to work in a busy and experienced team. You will also receive a salary from the London NHS Talking Therapies service where you will undertake your 4-day a week placement.
