Location: Telford

Pay Rate: £14-£18 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Children's Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad Care. As a Residential Children's Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to children and young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to children and young people, including activities, appointments, and family contact
  • Engage and encourage children and young people to participate in activities and form structure
  • Provide accurate reports and information to support the development of care plans and goals
  • Play a critical role in the safety and well-being of children and young people
  • Support children and young people in a residential setting, including managing challenging behaviors
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a safe and supportive environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • Confidence in working with colleagues to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques to keep children and young people safe
  • Ability to make decisions and take action in challenging situations
  • Understanding of detailed and accurate daily record keeping and incident reporting
  • Ability to engage and establish trust with children and young people
  • Sound communication and judgment skills
  • Ability to protect personal and professional boundaries
