We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team at Northampton Business Directory. As a key member of our Recycling Division, you will be responsible for collaborating with both Operations and Bidding Teams to secure and negotiate new municipal waste service contracts and/or extensions to existing contracts.

Your primary objective will be to strategically position the company to secure forthcoming procurement opportunities. This involves monitoring market trends, identifying potential partners, and developing strategic plans to meet the objectives of our Recycling Strategy and Business Plan.

In addition to securing new contracts, you will also be responsible for seeking out non-tendered opportunities, including infrastructure development to support the growth of our Division. This may involve working closely with various departments such as Estates and Planning, Technical, Legal, and Finance.

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or similar qualification with significant experience operating in a senior management role, preferably within a profit centre of at least £25m turnover. You should also have at least five years' experience working in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to business/project development.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in the successful delivery of business/project development programmes, resulting in significant growth. Additionally, you should have significant experience working within municipal waste collection, recycling, and treatment services.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + car allowance and bonus
