Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Specialist Resource Base team at Oasis Academy Long Cross. The successful candidate will provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children to achieve defined progression targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children to achieve defined progression targets.
  • Work under the guidance of teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Support the development of children's communication skills through the use of alternative communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • At least an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification or working towards this.
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream or special school provision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
