About the Role

Job Description
  • Student Support:
  • Deliver high-quality pastoral care, addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement effective learning plans, enhancing student progress and attainment.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to students during breaks, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Offer targeted support to students with special needs, tailoring interventions to meet individual requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, fostering a sense of belonging and trust.
  • Support students in accessing learning opportunities, including exams and assessments.
  • Teacher Support:
  • Liaise with feeder schools and external partners to gather pupil information, informing teacher planning and delivery.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement behaviour management strategies, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers in monitoring student progress, providing accurate and timely feedback and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support, including responding to correspondence, tracking attendance, and analysing data.
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • To work effectively with students, teachers, and parents to achieve academic excellence.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • To provide administrative support, freeing up teachers to focus on instruction.
  • To collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • To adhere to school policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Requirements
  • A strong background in education, ideally with experience working with students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Ability to work flexibly, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
Remuneration

The salary for this position is £26,500 - £31,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
