Role Overview:

The University of Northampton seeks a highly skilled mental health professional to join its Counselling and Mental Health Team. This part-time (28 hours per week) role requires knowledge of local mental health services, liaison with external health service providers, and internal student services and academics as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sustainable Academic Progress: Enable students to achieve sustainable academic progress by delivering mental health support services.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with students, staff, and external partners to ensure effective mental health support.
  3. Professional Development: Deliver high-quality training and support mental health promotion activities to enhance the work of the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or BABCP accreditation.
  • Eligibility for Non – Medical Helper registration to deliver DSA funded support under the NMH Provider Quality Assurance Framework.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £42,500 per annum (based on experience), with benefits including a competitive pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.
