About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Schedule and carry out regular maintenance to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform necessary repairs and assist during breakdowns, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • ONC/Full Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working with hand-held and power tools to support work activities.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with conveyor systems and ability to operate them safely.
  • Possession of a fork truck license or willingness to be trained in this operation.
Working Environment

We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the success of our team.

The successful candidate will be required to work at height as part of our operations, either on scaffolding, ladders, or powered machines. We also offer training opportunities for confined space operatives and new equipment investment.

Salary: £32,240 per year, plus overtime available.
