Job Overview

A leading independent planning practice in Kent is seeking an Associate Town Planner to lead and manage a portfolio of complex planning projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex planning projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Client Relations: Provide expert planning advice, manage client expectations, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Planning Applications: Oversee preparation and submission of planning applications, coordinating technical reports and ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage junior planners, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field. A master's degree is desirable.
  • Chartered membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is essential.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a planning role, with a proven track record in leading and delivering successful planning projects.
