Job Title: Referral Officer

Homeless Link is seeking a skilled Referral Officer to join our team. As a Referral Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing and support services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Referral Management: Be the primary contact for all incoming referrals and related enquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients and referring agencies.
  2. Referral Processing: Input referral information onto the Omni ledger System within 3 days of receiving the same, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  3. Accommodation Referrals: Collate accommodation referrals, matching clients' needs with available properties, and ensuring a smooth allocation process.
  4. Client Support: Liaise with clients, referring agencies, and other stakeholders to gather information, assess needs, and provide support services.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed written records of all contacts made with clients and agencies involved, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  6. Risk Assessment: Be aware of risk assessment and discuss this with providers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  7. Prison Liaison: Liaise with local prisons to book interview appointments and conduct initial interview assessments, providing information on accommodation and support services.
  8. Property Management: Keep a continuous check on property vacancies, managing and planning allocations to minimize void levels.
  9. Waiting List Management: Manage the waiting list, ensuring Fair Access and Inclusion Policy is adhered to, and ensuring initial assessment paperwork is fully completed and signed before allocating a property.
  10. Collaboration: Meet regularly with the Accommodation Officer assigned by the probation service and liaise regularly with the service manager.
