About the RoleThe Accounts Payable Supervisor will be part of a centralized team responsible for ensuring purchase systems, processes, and procedures are followed. This role involves working closely with Accounts Payable Assistants to coordinate the timely processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses, as well as building relationships with site finance teams to ensure timely payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the accurate processing of purchase invoices and provide assistance as needed.
- Communicate with suppliers and site operators to address queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Liaise with site operators to ensure the purchase order and delivery process is followed correctly.
- Oversee the supplier statement reconciliation process.
- Coordinate payment runs in accordance with the company's payment terms policy.
- Maintain creditor account records and ensure invoices are correctly allocated to direct debits.
- Follow internal accounting controls to maintain financial security.
- Manage the internal purchase order system and electronic purchasing process.
- Prepare financial reports as required.
- Provide support to the wider finance team as needed.
We're looking for a candidate with 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a working knowledge of accounts payable and previous experience managing finance teams. You should possess excellent relationship management skills, leadership and negotiation abilities, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience with ERP systems, such as Exchequer, is an advantage.
