Job Title: Service Support Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Support Manager to join our Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of the IMOS contract and providing expert support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Out of Scope (OOS)/ Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, ensuring timely and effective coordination with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain the Support To Other Platforms (STOP) Process, providing regular management reporting to the Service Management Organisation (SMO).
  • Contribute to the management, motivation, and development of the joint IMOS team, ensuring excellent support activity within the required timescales.
  • Coordinate and manage projects across the project lifecycle, including statement of work, schedule, cost adherence, and risk management.
  • Identify opportunities for new support business and manage commercial and technical difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to Degree or equivalent level in business management and a relevant technical discipline, or significant knowledge of aerospace, defence, and related business areas, gained through at least 10 years direct experience.
  • Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to team members to achieve departmental objectives for Performance and Risk Management.
  • Excellent communication and team player skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, Prime Contractor, Subcontractors, and Key Stakeholders within the MOD Customer community.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Operational Support construct and associated support disciplines.
  • Good understanding of support and programme management.
