Clinical Pharmacy Leadership Role in General Practice

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at NHS in Barnet, Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled pharmacist to take on a leadership role in general practice, working closely with the GP team to improve patient care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a pharmacist in general practice, with a Certificate in Non-medical Prescribing and expertise in clinical pharmacy. They will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy leadership, including Structured Medication Reviews, chronic disease management, medicines optimisation, quality improvement, and enhanced services.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with healthcare professionals. They will also have strong leadership skills, with experience of managing teams and leading change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical pharmacy leadership in general practice, working closely with the GP team to improve patient care.
- Conduct Structured Medication Reviews and provide expert advice on medicines optimisation.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of enhanced services.
- Develop and implement training programs for pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with the GP team to manage repeat prescribing systems and ensure effective medicines reconciliation.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
