Pharmacy Technician Medicines Management Role

This is a challenging role for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality Medicines Management services at ward level.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will support ward pharmacists in carrying out medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients and assessing patients' own medications. They will also assist in the coordination of satellite pharmacy services, including original pack dispensing, patient counselling, and managing discharge medicines.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working in an NHS hospital pharmacy, preferably in a senior role, is essential.
Key Requirements- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
- Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification or willingness to work towards it
- Significant experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
- Excellent understanding of computerised systems, including stock control management
