Job Description:

We are working with a leading privately owned house builder in Chelmsford to strengthen their team with an experienced Planning Manager. The company is looking to expand its operations and is seeking a skilled professional to lead their planning function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning function and develop strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage and coordinate planning applications, including residential and strategic land projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice on planning policies and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified with MRTPI
  • 6+ years of post-graduation experience in planning, preferably in a house builder or consultancy
  • Good knowledge and experience of handling planning applications in Hertfordshire and Chelmsford
  • Detailed experience on large complex strategic land planning applications and 100 unit plus projects
  • Director calibre and motivated to succeed
