Job Title: Senior Speech and Language Therapist Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist Lead to join our team at the Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Speech and Language Therapy team, providing advanced specialist assessment and treatment, and developing and implementing rehabilitation programmes for patients with complex needs.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who has experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting and can demonstrate excellent leadership skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of communication and swallowing disorders and will be able to develop and implement effective rehabilitation programmes. The role will also involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Speech and Language Therapy team
* Provide advanced specialist assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
* Develop and implement rehabilitation programmes for patients with complex needs
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective delivery of patient care
* Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions using valid and reliable outcome measures

Requirements:
* HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
* Postgraduate dysphagia training
* At least 2 years' experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
* Supervision experience
* Ability to manage a complex case load independently
