Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurorehabilitation team in the London borough of Greenwich. The successful candidate will provide specialist speech and language therapy input to clients with communication and swallowing impairments due to acquired neurological disorders.

The role involves working as a lone and autonomous practitioner in the community, providing therapy services to adults with complex social, mental, and physical health issues. You will work closely with specialist nurses and other health and social care practitioners to manage those with long-term neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist speech and language therapy input to clients with communication and swallowing impairments due to acquired neurological disorders.
  • To work as a lone and autonomous practitioner in the community.
  • To work with specialist nurses and other health and social care practitioners to manage those with long-term neurological conditions.
  • To supervise therapy assistant practitioners and Speech & Language Therapy students, and if required, band 5 Speech & Language Therapists.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration.
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
