Job Title: Support Worker for Youth

At East Riding of Yorkshire Council, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a 14-year-old boy in accessing the community, socializing, and meeting friends. The ideal candidate will have a person-centered approach, be able to support the boy's emotional regulation, and help him process his emotions.

The successful applicant will need to be understanding of the boy's likes and dislikes, and adapt to his needs. This role requires flexibility in scheduling with the boy's parent and the ability to transport themselves for some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire.

We offer a supportive environment, opportunities for professional development, and a chance to make a positive impact on the boy's life. The salary for this position is estimated to be £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the boy in accessing the community, socializing, and meeting friends
  • Assist the boy in managing his emotions and processing his feelings
  • Be flexible in scheduling with the boy's parent and adapt to their needs


Requirements:
  • Experience in care or social work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
