Sustainability Manager Job Description

MacGregor Black is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to join their team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability and environmental management, with experience in leading sustainability initiatives in a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement green policies to ensure the organization meets its environmental goals.
  • Monitor and reduce waste generation, and increase recycling and diversion rates.
  • Evaluate energy consumption and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess the sustainability practices of suppliers and ensure transparency throughout the supply chain.
  • Develop and track sustainability performance indicators, and manage sustainability data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the ESG strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and reporting requirements, as well as experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies. They will be passionate about sustainability and have a proven track record of leading sustainability changes in complex environments.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent business experience in sustainability.
  • Subject matter expertise in environmental areas, including Net Zero pathways and Waste & Circularity.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading sustainability changes in complex environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements.
