Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for our property portfolios, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Energy Efficiency & Carbon Reduction: Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and carbon reduction across managed properties, working closely with building managers and tenants.
  • ESG Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the collection and reporting of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data. Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for sustainability-related matters, engaging with clients, tenants, and internal teams to promote sustainable practices and drive behavioural change.
  • Sustainable Building Design & Operation: Collaborate with our surveying team to integrate sustainability considerations into building design, construction, and operation.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Support other surveying disciplines within our business, such as building surveying and valuation, by providing sustainability insights that enhance overall service delivery.
  • Training & Development: Deliver training sessions and workshops for internal teams and clients to increase awareness and understanding of sustainability issues and opportunities within the commercial property sector.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of the latest sustainability trends, technologies, and regulations. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within our business.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Real Estate, or a related field. A relevant master's degree or professional certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sustainability role within the commercial property or real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, ESG reporting, and relevant certifications.
  • Experience in energy management, carbon reduction strategies, and sustainable building design.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
