Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Homeless Outreach Support Specialist to join our team at TWO SAINTS. As a key member of our outreach team, you will provide intensive support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them to access vital services and achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to clients, working closely with them to identify their needs and develop tailored plans to address these.
  • Engage with rough sleepers on the street, building relationships and trust to help them access support services.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, maintaining accurate records of support provided and outcomes achieved.
  • Collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure clients receive comprehensive support.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and interviews, providing emotional support and advocacy.
  • Help clients to access housing options, navigate benefits systems, and develop practical skills.
  • Support clients to maintain a safe and healthy environment, reducing the risk of eviction.
  • Attend community meetings and presentations to promote the work of TWO SAINTS and secure additional funding.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the local community, promoting the values of TWO SAINTS.

Requirements

  • Clear verbal and written English
  • Good IT and keyboard skills
  • Polite, assertive manner, ability to self-motivate
  • Passion for working with homeless individuals
  • Knowledge of benefits systems and tenancy legislation
  • Interest in homelessness and related issues
