About the Role

East and North Herts NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team.

The post holder will participate in the diagnosis and management of children with neurodevelopmental difficulties, long-term complex conditions, and Neurodisability. Responsibilities include:

  • Sharing multidisciplinary team assessments and meetings as required.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary assessment clinics for children with suspected autism, for pre-school and school-age children.
  • Participating in the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental conditions including ASD and ADHD.
  • Providing a safeguarding children service in conjunction with other colleagues.
  • Providing medical input for SEN, special schools, and adoption and fostering as required.
  • Providing clinical supervision of Paediatric doctors in training.

Key Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and qualified individual who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, depending on experience. A range of benefits are also available, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
