We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Support Specialist to join our team at our partner school in South East London. This exciting opportunity allows you to work with children who have behavioral, ASD, and social and emotional difficulties.

This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain teaching experience before pursuing teacher training or be part of a collaborative team. As a Teaching Support Specialist, you will work closely with classroom educators to deliver targeted support to Key Stage 1 and 2 students, including those with special educational needs.

About the Opportunity:

  • Position: Teaching Support Specialist
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:45am - 3:00pm
  • Location: SE7, South East London
  • Rate: £120 per day

Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with classroom educators to provide targeted support to Key Stage 1 and 2 students, including those with special educational needs.
  2. Contribute to the implementation of individualized learning plans and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  3. Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support and development.

Expected Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in both Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Must have Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to implement effective support strategies.

Average Annual Salary: £26,500 - £32,700, dependent on experience and qualifications.
