Medical Coder and Data Analyst

We are seeking a part-time permanent Clinical Coder and Medical Note Summariser to join our experienced coding/QOF team based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre in Colchester. This role requires flexibility to work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with adaptable start times that may suit individuals looking for school hours.
The ideal candidate will have excellent telephone etiquette, be a reliable team player, and have the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience as a receptionist in a GP surgery is advantageous, but training will be provided.
This position involves accurate coding of clinical documents within a 48-hour timeframe, forwarding clinical documents to clinicians, and performing follow-up actions. You will also be responsible for managing the Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) - allocating QOF clinical indicators to achieve targets for the practice.
We offer a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to develop their skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
