About the Role:

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Safety Engineer to join our Electrical Safety Team. As a key member of our Engineering Safety Organisation, you will provide complex professional engineering judgement for the effective implementation of technical engineering safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting, managing, and assessing standards of competence for Electrical Engineering Safety Appointed people.
  • Reviewing suitability of Electrical safe systems of work for maintenance delivery by AWE and contract personnel.
  • Providing advice on the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety.
  • Having oversight of supply chain's specialist contractors application of engineering safety.
  • Providing technical support in resolving complex and multifaceted issues across the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical engineering background.
  • Good understanding of The Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
  • Knowledge of Electrical safety on construction sites HSG141, DSEAR Regulations, and associated inspection and maintenance requirements.
  • Good understanding of relevant British Standards and Industry Standards.
  • A recognised engineering/electrical-related qualification or equivalent suitable experience.
