We are seeking a Sushi and Dessert Sous Chef to join our team at Nichi, a luxury sushi and robata concept in Greater Manchester. As a skilled Pastry Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our high-end restaurant and help us deliver exceptional customer experiences.

This exciting role involves supporting the Head Chef in designing innovative desserts and leading a team of pastry chefs. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.

We estimate that the salary for this position will be around £48,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on the national average for senior pastry roles in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the Head Chef in designing innovative desserts and menus

  • To maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • To work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior pastry role
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
