Samuel Frank is a well-established special purpose equipment manufacturer based in the East Lancashire region. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Developer to join our team as a PLC Software Engineer.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Team Manager, who comes from a Controls/Software background, and collaborate with a talented team of Engineers, including Control Engineers and Electrical Design Engineers.

  1. This role offers a wide variety of project work on one-off bespoke machines, allowing for diverse skill development and application.
  2. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and modifying PLC and HMI software to optimize performance using Allen Bradley PLCs and related technologies.
  3. You will have opportunities to learn and be trained on AutoCAD Electrical, expanding your technical expertise.
  4. Work involves thorough workshop testing and onsite commissioning, requiring strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. This position offers a 70/30 split between office-based and customer site work, with the majority of sites located in the UK and typical trips lasting 1-2 weeks.
  6. You will support documentation using MS Office and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  7. The working week is 40 hours, with overtime available during office hours and when commissioning on-site, and lunchtime finishes on Fridays while working in the office.

We offer a competitive salary of £45-50k, plus overtime and above-average pension contributions, along with 25 days' annual leave and additional benefits.
