Occupational Therapist Band 6 Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Placement Group in North London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy services to children with severe or complex needs.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with education staff, parents/caregivers, and members of other agencies to provide specialist advice and integrate therapy targets into all learning goals.
  • You will be responsible for delivering specialist clinical decision-making for children and adolescents with motor, sensory, perceptual, and functional needs.
  • You will independently manage a complex caseload and access supervision, advice, and support when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop occupational therapy programmes to be implemented by therapy assistants, students, volunteers, and others working with postholder.
  • Supervise the work of, and occupational therapy input provided by, these groups.
  • Monitor intervention outcomes and adapt the plan accordingly.
Requirements
  • Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Experience of working with children and young people with health conditions
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team setting
Salary and Benefits
