Special Education Teacher Position

Contract Type: Permanent Full-time
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and qualified teacher to join our team at Stocklake Park Community School, a special school catering for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties. As a class teacher, you will take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated group of children, leading and managing additional adults within the classroom.
You will work closely with colleagues to plan and deliver appropriate schemes of work, matching the learning experiences with individual student needs. This includes maintaining assessment records and reporting on pupils' progress and attainment in accordance with school policy.
Liaising with other professionals on site, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, is also an essential part of this role.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have Qualified Teacher Status, up-to-date knowledge of current curriculum developments, and an enthusiastic, caring, trustworthy, and resilient nature. Experience working with students who have special educational needs is highly desirable.
