Premier Community, a leading provider of Home Care services, is seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing sales ledger, processing invoices, recording transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will also contribute to wider finance and payroll projects, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Management Accounting role, with strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should be proficient in Xero accounting software and have Part Qualified status with CIMA/ACCA.

This role offers a competitive salary range of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive bonus scheme, one-to-one support from senior managers, and access to training opportunities. The position is based at our head office in Nottinghamshire and requires full-time commitment, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales ledger, including invoice processing, transaction recording, and credit control.
  • Contribute to wider finance and payroll projects, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Report and monitor KPIs and non-financial information to support service delivery and contractual commitments.
  • Provide insight and analysis for pricing structures.
  • Complete bank reconciliations in Xero.
  • Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Create prepayment and accruals month-end schedules and corresponding journals to be posted on Xero.
  • Create and complete a balance sheet reconciliation pack.
  • Produce P&L and Balance Sheet reporting ready for review.
  • Analyse monthly payroll/staffing costs, post the monthly payroll journal, and reconcile all staff-related control accounts.
  • Communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues and teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Management Accounting role.
  • Previous experience in a service sector, ideally Social Care or NHS.
  • Familiarity with Xero accounting software.
  • Part Qualified with CIMA/ACCA and pursuing full qualification.
