Flights Executive Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Flights Executive to join our team at C&M Travel Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the sourcing and purchasing of airline tickets, as well as ensuring the accuracy of flight information on customer documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and purchase airline tickets in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Issue automated Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMDs) for add-ons such as seat reservations
  • Advise sales and operations teams on fares and fare rules
  • Process automated tickets through BSP or Amadeus
  • Verify BSP link and resolve any issues with Automated Despatch Messages (ADMs) or Automated Credit Messages (ACMs)
  • Support the securing of seats and rates for ad-hoc tours and allocations
  • Regularly review the reservations system to ensure accurate ticketing information
  • Ensure all flight information on customer documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Action Amadeus queues and assist with loading and maintaining contracts in the reservations system
  • Be available on a rota basis to assist with out-of-hours flight emergencies
Requirements:
  • Experience in a fares and ticketing or air operations role for a tour operator, OTA, airline, or similar
  • Proficiency in Amadeus
  • Experience booking worldwide travel requirements using a Global Distribution System (GDS)
  • Knowledge of net and published fares
  • Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
  • Fares and Ticketing Qualification qualifications are an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
