Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Administrator to join our team at the Royce Thin Film Device Materials Research Platform. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical, administrative, and operational support for the Research Platform, ensuring it operates smoothly, efficiently, and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  • Ensure effective communication between the Research Platform user community, external organisations, and departmental staff.
  • Manage office and lab space, including inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Support the Platform's purchasing, financial, and operational processes.
  • Provide administrative support to key Royce academic staff.
Requirements
  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) and relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience of working in an administrative office within a technical core business providing excellent customer service.
  • Proven experience of managing and completing multiple tasks alongside each other.
  • Proven experience of supporting work in a technical environment.
  • A high standard of computer literacy and the ability to proactively use IT: Microsoft Office; email; database; spreadsheets (Excel), presentations (PowerPoint).
