Job Summary

The Milken Institute is seeking a highly skilled Communication Director for EMEA to lead the development of media strategies for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role will work closely with the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications, to maximize the impact of our work across the continent.

This position requires significant communications and media expertise, as well as knowledge of the UK, Europe, and Middle East communications landscape. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, highly organized, and have exceptional attention to detail, a network of contacts across the media landscape, and exercise creativity in supporting the Institute's work and developing its reputation as a trusted, non-partisan, international think tank.

About the Role:

  • Develop strategic communications plans aligned with the overall market strategy.
  • Buid relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers, particularly across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Build a database of journalists in key policy areas, both at the national and trade press level, to maximize coverage of Institute outputs.
  • Support the planning and execution of press events, media tours, and campaigns to engage with target audiences.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public relations.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in crisis management and ability to act as a trusted media advisor during sensitive situations.
