About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Design Delivery Specialist to join our team in Swindon or Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of small-scale rail renewal and structures projects, including essential works such as bridge repairs, deck replacements, and embankment improvements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple schemes, ensuring they meet client requirements and remain within agreed cost profiles. They will also collaborate closely with design houses, procure and manage partnerships to deliver practical, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.

This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, and a solid understanding of design and engineering processes. If you have experience working on rail renewals and civil/structure projects, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage multiple schemes to ensure they meet client requirements and remain within agreed cost profiles.
  2. Collaborate with design houses to procure and manage partnerships for efficient project delivery.
  3. Work closely with engineering managers and delivery teams to execute projects smoothly.
  4. Foster productive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, and supply chain partners.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in project management/design management position with a solid engineering background.
  • Experience working on rail renewals and civil/structure projects such as stations, bridges, embankments, etc.
  • Strong understanding of design and engineering processes, with practical knowledge of delivering multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Familiarity with Network Rail projects and NEC contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Estimated Salary: £54,000 - £64,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus car/car allowance and up to 15% bonus.
