Automotive Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Procurement Specialist to join our client based in the UK. Our client is a successful family-owned Automotive Retail Group operating a number of prestige retail franchised vehicle operations across their group.
Key Responsibilities:
- To acquire used vehicles of suitable specification and quality at competitive prices with the view to exceed targeted profits and return on investment.
- To nurture inbound leads via our marketing channels with the key focus to arrange customer appointments and purchase vehicles.
- To respond quickly to the vehicle purchasing needs of the group dealerships and its sales managers with the view to obtain vehicles that they require for resale.
- To thoroughly manage vehicle stock to ensure they are quickly passed on to the recipient dealership within the group.
- To ensure all administrative details relating to suppliers and dealerships are maintained in a correct and complete manner including costs and expenses relating to vehicles purchased.
- To support Sales Managers in marketing initiatives utilising synergies and pipeline stock.
- To maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, hire and fleet customers, auction houses, and vehicle disposal agencies.
- To report weekly on agreed performance criteria comparing actual with targeted performance.
- To uphold and enhance the reputation of the business at every opportunity when interacting with customers and third parties.
We are looking for a results-driven individual with:
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the motor industry, particularly market pricing and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation and trade practices.
- Thorough knowledge of the used car and commercial vehicle marketplace, including the valuation of models, specifications, and options.
- Ability to negotiate and purchase at effective discounted prices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships within the dealerships, customers, and third parties.
- A tenacious, self-starter with the ability to manage your own time.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service with a can-do attitude.
- Motivation to achieve goals/targets using your confidence, determination, and creativity while operating with the Vines Values (Positive, Supportive, & Integrity).
- A Full UK Driving licence is essential for this position.
