Learning Support Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at Newcastle College. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will work closely with students with additional learning needs, providing tailored support to help them access and understand the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with additional learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities
- Provide one-to-one, group, or whole-class support to help students progress in their learning
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and support
Requirements
- Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evening work and supporting at our off-site provision
