We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the South Lakes Next Steps Accommodation Service in Kendal. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence and achieve their support plans.
  • Run customer activities in the service, encouraging customers to interact with other customers and build the skills they need to achieve independence.
  • Support customers to access external groups and agencies to build up their own support networks for when they are ready to move into independent accommodation.
  • Liaise with external agencies and bring those agencies around the table to provide the support your customers need to hit their goals.
  • Work with customers to secure permanent accommodation.
