Job Title: Director of Energy Procurement EMEA

Job Summary:

The Director of Energy Procurement EMEA will lead the strategic development and implementation of energy procurement strategies across the EMEA region. This role will be responsible for driving energy efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with Marriott's environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement energy procurement strategies to meet Marriott's energy needs and reduce costs.
  • Lead the negotiation of energy contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to ensure energy-efficient operations and minimize consumption.
  • Develop and manage energy budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Provide training and support to property teams on energy management and procurement best practices.
  • Monitor and report on energy consumption and costs to ensure compliance with Marriott's environmental policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with energy suppliers and industry partners to stay up-to-date on market trends and opportunities.
  • Support the development of Marriott's energy and sustainability strategy across the EMEA region.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in energy industry, facility management, industrial and commercial energy engineering, or consulting engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of energy market trends, cost, availability, and distribution of utilities.
  • Ability to negotiate long and short-term contracts with energy suppliers.
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work well in teams.

Education:

  • BS Degree in Energy, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification or similar certifications in energy management preferred.
