Head of Sourcing and Compliance:

Carnforth: Hybrid: Permanent: Up to £70k per annum

Award-winning global organization seeks a Head of Sourcing and Compliance to oversee purchasing, technical, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will ensure optimum stock levels, product compliance with global legislation, and responsible sourcing.

The daily requirements of this role:

Management:
  • Provide leadership and direction to Purchasing teams across the UK and globally.
  • Lead monthly reporting to the Executive Management Team and coordinate annual business planning and budgeting for Purchasing.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations to manage employee performance.
  • Identify and manage key operating risks effectively.
Sourcing:
  • Oversee UK purchasing activities to meet customer demands and provide operational guidance to international purchasing functions.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships through various interactions and ensure continuous product quality improvement.
  • Negotiate pricing and quality and develop new supplier relationships.
  • Work with Sales teams to ensure technical knowledge supports the sales process and develop technical resources in line with brand guidelines.
Compliance:
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage import documentation, and ensure products meet regional compliance levels.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of success.
  • Experience in global purchasing and compliance is essential.
