We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children who require specialist care.

Salary: £25,090 - £29,440 per annum, plus an approximate sleep-in allowance of £3,000-£7,000 per annum, depending on the number of sleep-ins required.

About the Role:

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our young residents. Your duties will include acting as a positive adult role model, promoting social, emotional, and physical well-being, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for our young residents
  • Support and advise residents to develop social, emotional, and physical well-being
  • Help residents develop self-esteem and strategies to manage challenging behaviors
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and finances
  • Engage with residents to develop their interests and organize activities to support their development
  • Ensure that the needs of our residents are met and review changes to their needs

Requirements:

  • Fully supported to complete a funded Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
  • Experience supporting vulnerable children in a residential care setting (advantageous but not essential)
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
