Job Title: Health and Safety Transformation Manager

We are seeking an experienced Safety Leadership and Compliance Expert to lead our health and safety team in Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a proactive health and safety strategy that aligns with the company's goals, ensuring a prevention-based approach.
  2. Act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, facilitating site inspections and reviews. Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance.
  3. Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks.
  4. Create and deliver health and safety training programs for employees and contractors, promoting a culture of safety awareness and competence.
  5. Prepare regular health and safety reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  6. Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and track progress.
  7. Foster a strong safety culture by promoting employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  2. A background in a high-hazard environment, such as nuclear or heavy industry, is highly advantageous.
  3. Significant experience in management, leading teams of health and safety professionals.

What We Offer:

  1. An excellent basic salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, plus benefits package.
