Safety Leadership and Compliance Expert Job Description

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our health and safety team in Derbyshire, developing and implementing a proactive health and safety strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a robust health and safety management system, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  2. Lead health and safety initiatives, promoting a culture of safety awareness and competence among employees.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and create training programs to mitigate potential hazards.
  4. Prepare and present health and safety reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.
  5. Foster a strong safety culture by promoting employee engagement and participation.

Requirements:

  1. A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  2. A background in a high-hazard environment, such as nuclear or heavy industry, is highly advantageous.
  3. Significant experience in management, leading teams of health and safety professionals.

  1. A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
