Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures to ensure we deliver our objectives in a safe and efficient manner.

About the Role:
  1. You will be responsible for implementing, developing, and improving our Company Management System relating to Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality.
  2. Guide project teams on the implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures.
  3. Develop and implement Construction Phase Plans for company projects and submit to clients under CDM regulations.
  4. Collaborate with staff to ensure risk assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary and assist with their preparation if needed.
  5. Support Managers/Directors in producing, reviewing, and implementing Project Management Plans and Safety, Health Environmental & Quality documentation.
  6. E nsure that Health & Safety inspections are conducted regularly.
  7. Liaise with client representatives in relation to SHEQ management.
  8. Develop and improve existing SHEQ processes across the business.
  9. Promote SHEQ compliance throughout the organization.
  10. Provide support for SHEQ compliance during the bid and tender process.
  11. Prepare weekly/monthly reports outlining SHEQ issues and suggesting improvements.
  12. Identify training needs for the team with regards to SHEQ.
  13. Create and conduct training sessions on SHEQ requirements.
  14. Oversight of the SHEQ Advisor's development, including regular one-to-one meetings and performance management.
  15. Lead the discharging of principal contractor duties.
  16. Continuous development and implementation of the internal SHEQ portal.
  17. Maintenance and development of procedures and policies to meet ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  18. Coordinate the onboarding of Contractors and critical suppliers.
  19. Ultimate responsibility for ensuring the accurate completion of Client PQQs.
  20. Supervise and manage Calibration activities.
Requirements:
  1. NEBOSH General Safety or equivalent.
  2. CDM 2015 Knowledge.
  3. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
