Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Shift Organisation: Ensuring the smooth running of shifts, prioritising tasks, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Service User Wellbeing: Monitoring and addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of service users.
  • Support Staff Supervision: Providing guidance, training, and feedback to support staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION: Safely administering medication, following correct protocols, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communication: Engaging with families, professionals, and other stakeholders to maintain effective relationships and ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Reporting and Budget Management: Preparing daily reports, managing budgets, and completing financial audits to ensure accountability.
  • Health and Safety: Conducting regular checks, identifying potential risks, and implementing measures to mitigate them.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in Care: Proven experience working in a residential setting, particularly with individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

  • Caring Nature: A strong empathy and caring approach, enabling you to build trust and rapport with service users and their families.
  • People Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
