Senior Risk and Audit Manager

Bellway is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Group Risk and Audit Senior Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our functional strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders across the Group.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong working relationships with other head office functions and trading divisions, providing excellent exposure to senior stakeholders.
- Evaluate and evolve risk and audit methodologies in line with good practice and business needs.
- Facilitate the risk management process, providing independent challenge over risk assessments, mitigations, and action planning.
- Develop and implement risk and audit plans that add value and align with the Group's risk landscape.
- Coordinate other assurance activities across the business, maintaining an assurance map.
- Deliver risk and audit reviews across all functional areas, offering challenge and insight on process design and operation.
- Execute a compliance program to assess levels of adherence with key requirements.
- Support other head office functions or trading divisions on a secondment basis, as needed.
- Undertake advisory reviews to support key projects and process development.
- Assist with ad hoc investigations, such as fraud or whistle-blowing.
- Develop high-quality written outputs, ensuring findings are relevant, pragmatic, and accurate.
- Monitor findings and actions to ensure identified issues are appropriately remediated.
- Assist in preparing and presenting reports for the Audit Committee.
- Audit or accounting/finance background.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing systems, processes, and controls.
- Knowledge of risk and audit techniques and methodologies.
- Accountant, preferably ACA qualified.
