Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Manager to join our head office team. This role presents great opportunities for career advancement within the team and the wider business.

About the Role

As the Senior Audit Manager, you will report to the Group Head of Risk and Audit and assist in developing and implementing the functional strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building Strong Relationships
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other departments and divisions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Updating Risk and Audit Processes
    • Updating risk and audit processes based on best practices and business requirements to ensure they are effective and efficient.
  • Overseeing Risk Management
    • Overseeing the risk management process and providing unbiased feedback on risk assessments to ensure that risks are properly identified and mitigated.
  • Creating Risk and Audit Plans
    • Creating risk and audit plans that align with the company's risk profile and ensure that risks are properly managed.
  • Coordinating Assurance Activities
    • Coordinating assurance activities across the organization to ensure that risks are properly identified and mitigated.
  • Conducting Reviews
    • Conducting reviews of functional areas to provide insights on processes and controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing Compliance Programs
    • Managing compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.
  • Providing Support
    • Providing support to other departments on special projects or process development.
  • Assisting in Investigations
    • Assisting in investigations as needed to ensure that risks are properly identified and mitigated.
  • Producing Reports
    • Producing high-quality reports and sharing best practices across the organization.
  • Monitoring Findings
    • Monitoring findings and actions to address identified issues.
  • Preparing Reports for the Audit Committee
    • Assisting in preparing reports for the Audit Committee to ensure that they are informed and up-to-date.
  • Staying Informed
    • Staying informed about corporate governance developments to ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant regulations.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

Experience

  • Background in audit, accounting, or finance.
  • Experience in analyzing systems, processes, and controls.
  • Knowledge of risk and audit methodologies.

Qualifications and Training

  • Accountant, preferably ACA qualified.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
