Job Title: TechOps Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TechOps Generalist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to employees across the organization, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our Security team to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Manage and maintain our technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in IT operations, technical support, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills, including scripting, API integration, and automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
