Job Title: TechOps Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TechOps Generalist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to employees across the organization, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our security team to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in technical operations, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python and PowerShell.
