About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TechOps Generalist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defining and shaping our TechOps function, providing world-class support to our employees, and driving transformational change within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to all areas of the business, ensuring our employees can work efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues, from laptop faults to network issues and account provisioning failures.
  • Collaborate with our Security team to ensure a balance between security, productivity, and user experience.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes and improve the user experience.
  • Design and build self-service solutions to empower our people to help themselves.
  • Monitor and maintain all technology in our offices worldwide, including networks, meeting rooms, printers, digital signage, CCTV, and door access control.
  • Manage supplier relationships and the procurement process for SaaS and hardware.
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders from across the business.
Requirements
  • Experience leading technical projects across various technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with scripting, APIs, and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Experience working with multiple teams and managing stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting, managing, and deploying applications to macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management systems like Okta or Microsoft Entra.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
  • Understanding of identity provisioning technologies like SCIM.
  • Experience designing and installing office networks using Cisco Meraki.
