Job Overview

The Division of Surgery at BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Medical Staffing Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in the smooth operation of the department, and the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong understanding of medical staffing procedures.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating medical staffing for annual, study, and sick leave
  • Acting as the main point of contact for medical rostering and junior doctor support
  • Providing administrative support to the General Manager, Service Manager, Clinical Care Group Director, Clinical Director, and Specialty Leads
  • Managing and coordinating annual and study leave to minimize medical locum usage
  • Ensuring accurate and timely information related to medical staff management, including compliance with New Deal requirements, appraisals, and monitoring leave
